Martian Makes the Smart Watch You’ll Actually Wear

The Smartwatch industry has been taking off recently with a ton of new players. From industry titans like Apple and Samsung have come watches that are more integrated with their specific product suites. While these watches are cool in their own right, if you’re not ready to commit to a fully digital watch, it can be a bit much. For the old-school watch lovers out there, there are a few startups doing some more traditional watches that have smart aspects. At the forefront of this market is a company based out of Palo Alto called Martian.
Martian takes a unique view of the Smartwatch and works to add functionality to the classic watch, making it smart, rather than turning your wrist into a mini phone. The result are watches that can be worn in every scenario without standing out as something odd or different. Martian has a few great watches on the market, and I recently was able to test out and wear their Alpha T10. Needless to say, the watch has made a great impression and it is easy to recommend to anyone looking. I’ve worn the watch in all settings, from the office to dinner to travel, and it adds great functionality to your wrist without being overbearing.

The Alpha T10 is a full-featured smartwatch which is modeled after military watches. It maintains a simple, uncluttered design with a large stainless steel dial size featuring crisp numerals and indexes. Martian was able to sneak in at the bottom a centered OLED display and 24-hour clock that are both precise and easy to read at a simple glance. The watch will give you notifications such as texts, calendar events, Facebook notifications, and anything else you may want. It is especially helpful at times when it may be poor taste to check your phone, as the watch can give you the important information you need.
If you want a watch that is smart, but not overbearingly techy, Martian’s Alpha T10 is perfect for you.
